are the steps in the process with HLS?
We discuss your project needs and goals, we prepare a scope and fee proposal
for your review, upon your authorization, we perform the work in accordance to
the authorized scope. We invoice you as significant progress is made and we finish
the scope of work, making recommendations about any necessary follow up efforts. |

It depends on the complexity, and we’re always willing to estimate this

Why
is my bill deferent from my original estimate?
An estimate is a "best guess". The final bill may be more or less than
the estimated fees. When the project is running over the estimated fees by more
than 10%, you will be notified, the reasons will be discussed and your authorization
will be requested. |

is a "modification?"
A change to the plan required by the client, the agency or the site specifics
which may or may not change the fees involved. |

When
will I be billed for the work HLS performs?
Each time a milestone or significant progress is made. On large projects, a monthly
billing might be made. On smaller projects, the billing is usually done after
the product is complete. |

is my project taking longer than we thought it would?
There might be several reasons, and we’ll discuss
those with you based on your project specifics. |

is Topographical Mapping?
A survey locating topographical features both man-made
and natural as a basis for improvements or changes to the land. |

A boundary retracement survey shows the record boundary of the parcel using record
data for the parcel and found monumentation. |

is a Boundary Survey?
Using the Boundary retracement, Material discrepancies with the record data,
overlaps and gaps and encroachments are all worked out. A Record of Survey is
prepared and recorded with the County. |
